Vanderbilt To Take on Florida in the SEC Tournament 3/2/03

The defending SEC Tournament champion Vanderbilt Commodores (19-8, 9-5) are the # 6 seed in the 2003 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament and will take on #11 Seed Florida (8-19, 1-13) in first round action. Gametime is set for 8:30 pm CT Thursday (March 6) in North Little Rock, Arkansas in the Alltel Arena. Florida and Ole Miss were tied for last place in the standings with a 1-13 record. Since each win was against each other, a coin flip took place Sunday evening with a representative from each school and the SEC on a conference call. Florida won the toss and became the 11th seed.
