Vanderbilt Student-Athlete Children's Christmas Party 12/13/02

The annual Vanderbilt Student-Athlete Children's Christmas Party was another huge succes as 60 kindergarten and first graders from Ross Elementary School were treated to a morning with Santa and the Commodore student-athletes.

After singing Christmas Carols led by the women's basketball team, Santa arrived with two football uniform hampers filled with gifts. Santa Claus (Jim May of the football team) then distributed the gifts to the children. Each team then helped the children with their gifts and played until pizza was served for lunch.

The gifts for the children were purchased by the Vanderbilt student-athletes with their own money.
