Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball NLI Signing - Commodores Sign Six

Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Melanie Balcomb has announced the signing of six student-athletes for the 2003-04 season.

• Captured the gold medal with a perfect 5-0 record as a member of the 2002 USA Youth Development Festival North Team.
•  Street & Smith All-America honorable mention (2002).
•  Cincinnati Enquirer Division I All-State honorable mention and Dayton Daily News All-District special mention (2001, 2002).
•  Has started 65 of 67 high school contests.
•  Averaged 11.7 ppg., 5.0 rpg. and 5.2 apg. as a junior.

• Scored a Festival single game high of 28 points versus the USA East Team, also recorded single game highs for field goal percentage (66.7%, 10-15 FGs) and 3-point field goal percentage (5-5 3pt FGs).
•  Adidas Top Ten Camp Underclass All-Star (2001).
•  Student Sports Sophomore All-America, Cal-Hi Sports All-State second team, Cal-Hi Sports Division II first team, Cal-Hi Sports All-State Junior Team.
