Vanderbilt Basketball Practice Facility
The following are awards presented at the 2002 Vanderbilt Student-Athlete Advisory Board All-Sports Banquet held April 15 in the Basketball Practice Facility. Will Perdue was the featured speaker at the event.

Male Scholar Athlete Andrew Gardella - Football
Gardella received the Male Scholar Athlete Award presented to the Commodore male student-athlete who has the highest cumulative GPA. Gardella has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 in College of Arts & Sciences, Political Science. Has been named to the SEC All-Academic Team three consecutive years.

Female Scholar Athlete Zuzi Klimesova - Basketball
Klimesova owns a cumulative GPA of 3.6 with a double major in Russian and Human & Organizational Development. She helped lead the Commodores to a 30-7 overall record and SEC Tournament title. Klimesova was named the SEC Tournament Most Valuable Player and was named to the All-SEC First Team. She also earned Verizon Academic All-America honors. This award is presented to the Commodore female athlete with the highest cumulative GPA.

Community Service Award Candice Storey - Basketball
Storey is the inaugural recipient of this award. The award was created to honor a student-athlete who has given countless hours and dedication to community service at Vanderbilt and in the Nashville Community.

The Tolbert Award Women's Basketball Team
The Vanderbilt women's basketball team is the 2001-02 recipient of the Tolbert Award. The Tolbert Cup recognizes success on the court, in the classroom and around the community. The Cup is named for Vanderbilt's first national champion Ryan Tolbert (Track and Field). This is the second consecutive year the basketball team has won the award. The Commodores finished the season with a 30-7 record and captured the SEC Tournament championship.

SAAB Award
Brad Bates, associate director of athletic, was presented with a gift of appreciation from the Student-Athlete Advisory Board.
