The game is a matchup of two of the SEC’s top players - VU’s Chantelle Anderson and MSU’s LaToya Thomas. Anderson beat out Thomas for the SEC Preseason Player of the Year prior to the season. Both are All-Americans and both earned ESPN the Magazine Awards last March. Anderson was named Center of the Year, while Thomas earned Power Forward of the Year.
