The Commodores have three starters in the VU 1,000-point
club. Chantelle Anderson is fourth on the list with 1,857
points, followed by Zuzi Klimesova in fifth with 1,766 points
and Jillian Danker in 18th place with 1,067 points.
Chantelle Anderson is the fourth Commodore to score
at least 1800 points in a career. She totals 1,857 points.
Wendy Scholtens totaled 2,602, followed by Harriet Brumfield
with 1,956 and Jackie Cowan with 1,875. She also set a career
single season high with 41 assists. Anderson totals 599 points
this season which is the 10th highest single-season total.
She and Wendy Scholtens are the only two players with more
than one of the Top 10 highest single season point totals.
She is also one block shy of tying Harriet Brumfield for seventh
place on the Career Blocked Shots List (Anderson numbers 117).
Earlier this year, she became the eighth VU player to surpass
100 for a career. She has averaged 1.2 blocks in her 97 game
career which currently ranks fifth all-time.
Jillian Danker became the sixth Commodore with at least
150 3-pointers in a career. She totaled four in the Tennessee
game. Ashley McElhiney needs two 3-pointers to total 100.
Danker is 16 rebounds shy of 500 career rebounds, while
Anderson is 20 shy of 500 career boards. Currently, only 13
Vanderbilt players all-time have scored at least 1000 points
and grabbed at least 500 rebounds.
With seven rebounds at Tennessee, Zuzi Klimesova numbers
200 for the third consecutive season. The last VU player to
do so was Sheri Sam (1994, 1995, 1996). She currently totals
214 rebounds this season.
The Commodores lead the nation in field goal percentage
- men or women - with a 53.1 percentage (798-1502). On the
mens side, Kansas leads the nation with a 52.1 percentage
(904-1736). Junior center Chantelle Anderson is second in
the nation with a 66.6 percentage, while Zuzi Klimesova is
16th with a 57.7 mark. Iowa State senior center Angie Welle
leads the nation with a 68.7 mark. Last season, VU led the
nation in field goal percentage - men or women - with a 54.5
mark with Anderson leading the nation with a 72.3 percentage.
Junior point guard Ashley McElhiney is in sixth place
on the VU Career Assists List with 426.
In the lastest WBCA/Summerville RPI, Vanderbilt is
ranked sixth with the fourth toughest schedule in the nation.
Only Tennessee among the Top Eight teams has a tougher schedule

In the Tennessee game, Zuzi Klimesova and Jillian Danker
moved into the Top 10 in all-time games played at Vanderbilt.
With 123 each, they are currently tied with Renae Sallquist.
Ginger Jared and Rhonda Blades lead the list at 132 each.
With one more win in SEC play, VU will have its winningest
conference record ever. The Commodores have won nine SEC contests
three times - all under Jim Foster. VU now owns a 9-4 league
record.
Jim Foster is now three home victories shy of 150.
The Commodores are one shy of tying their home victory
total of 16. VU is currently 15-1 with the season finale vs.
Auburn in Memorial Gym.
Vanderbilt is closing in on 500 all-time wins - the
Commodores are currently 494-263 with more than half of those
victories coming under Foster.
Jim Foster has won 249 games at Vanderbilt which is
one better than his overall victory total at St. Josephs.
He is now 249-98 in his 11th season at Vanderbilt. He was
248-126 in 13 years at St. Josephs.
