Story
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Jenni Benningfield scored 12 of her 18 points in a six-minute span in the second half to lead No. 18 Vanderbilt to a 64-58 win over struggling Florida on Sunday.

The Commodores (18-7, 8-4 Southeastern Conference) won their season-high fifth in a row. The Gators (8-17, 0-12) extended their school-record losing streak to 13 games.

The Gators cut the lead to 36-35 with 14:38 remaining but Benningfield hit consecutive 3-pointers, and Vandy pulled away from there. Benningfield's short, baseline jumper gave the Commodores their largest lead of the second half, 52-40 with 8:52 to play.

The Gators made it close after Vandy missed four consecutive free throws in the final minute.

Hillary Hager sealed the victory by hitting the front end of a one-and-one with 14.4 seconds left, making it 62-58.

Florida hung tough against a ranked SEC team for the first time this season. The Lady Gators had lost their previous six games to ranked teams by an average of 33.7 points.

Benningfield has been Vanderbilt's hottest player during the win streak, leading the team in scoring each time.

Abi Ramsey added 14 points, and Ashley McElhiney had 10 assists.

Sarah Lowe paced Florida with 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Vanessa Hayden chipped in 12 points.
