THREE COMMODORES ARE TOP 3 SEEDS AT THE TENNESSEE AMATEUR TOURNAMENT 6/10/03

Vanderbilt's May Wood shot a four-under and Joni Gossett shot a two-under for a one-two finish in the qualifying round of the Tennessee Women's Amateur Championship in Chattanooga at the Black Creek Club (Par 72) - Wood's home course. Another Commodore - Sarah Jacobs - was exempt from match play today since she is the defending champion and is the number one seed. Jacobs is coming off a runnerup finish at the Southern Amateur last weekend.

First Round Play at the Tennessee Women's Amateur Championship begins Wednesday at 7:30 am. The Championship match will be played Saturday (June 14) at 9:30 am.
