Vanderbilt Defeats Kentucky In Dual Match 4/10/03

The Vanderbilt Commodores and Kentucky Wildcat golf teams played a round of golf Thursday at Ropers Knob at Legends Club in preparation for the SEC Golf Tournament. The Commodores defeated the Wildcats by nine strokes, 303-312.

Both teams wanted to get another day of competition in before
next week's SEC Championship in Lexington, Ky. Vanderbilt was able to play
only one round at the Lady Gamecock Classic and two rounds at the Bryan National Tournament because of bad weather.

Joni Gossett shot a 74, followed by Sarah Jacobs with a 75, May Wood with a 76 and Courtney Wood and Nicki Cutler who both shot a 78.
