2001-02 (Freshman): Had a solid first year with the Commodores in both singles and doubles, as he combined to win 31 matches finished the season with 15 singles wins, which was fourth most on the squad saw the majority of his singles action at the No. 3 and 4 positions earned one of Vanderbilt's three singles points against Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA team championship when he defeated No. 97-ranked Johan Grunditz advanced to the third round of the Region III championships during the Fall season primarily played doubles with Bobby Reynolds (No. 1 position) or Chad Harris (No. 2 position).
