Coach Stallings on Skuchas
“Coach Jeff Jackson identified Ted last year and actually the summer before
his junior year. He goes to a great high school north of Philadelphia. He has
great size, great hands and he runs well. He is a tremendous worker in terms
of his approach to conditionin gand weight training. He plays on an outstanding
high school team.” “There was some heavy traffic in recruiting him. The suitors
were many and of high quality as well. So, obviously for us to beat some of
the schools we had to beat to get him, made us feel real good. I think it was
a good fit for him because his high school is a similar type of environment
to Vanderbilt.” “He played very well on the national scene in the AAU tournaments.
Ted’s got all the qualities of being a very good true low post guy and we think
that’s what he’ll be for us because he does have great size, great hands and
he’s a good athlete.”
