Coach Stallings on Moore
“We felt like he was one of the best points guards in the country and we think
he is an outstanding player with a great future.” “Mario was a junior when he
committed to us. One of the real pleasing things about Mario was that he wanted
to be here and he never wavered off his commitment and that is a real exciting
thing for us. He wants to be at Vanderbilt and he’s always been a Vanderbilt
fan. It’s atypical for a guy to sign as a junior, but it happens. It’s the only
time it’s ever happened in any of the programs I’ve ever been in. We saw him
play in the summer before his junior year and we felt very strongly about him.
And fortunately he felt strongly about us.”
