Men’s Golf in Action, Wins JV Match
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt men’s golf team
defeated the College of Charleston, 301-293, Friday as part
of a JV match between the two schools. The match was played
at the Chechessee Creek Club in Spring Island, S.C.
Sophomore Lance Goodson took first place with an even-par
score of 70. Sophomore Mark Donnell finished second in the
match with a two-over-par score of 72.
Senior Craig Dunlap was next for the Commodores, carding
a five-over-par 75. Senior Jason Dallas was right on the
heels of Dunlap, posting a round of 76 to finish six strokes
over par. Rounding out the Vanderbilt competitors was junior
Ken Lewis, who shot a 79 to finish nine strokes over par.
Vanderbilt’s returns to tournament action March 17-18
at the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championships in Aiken,
S.C.
