Vanderbilt Mens Golf
No. 24 in Golf World Rankings 10/10/02
NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Vanderbilt mens golf team
is tied for No. 24 in this weeks issue of Golf World
magazine. The magazines Top-25 poll is voted on by the
Golf World Coaches Panel.
The highlight of the 2002 fall season was claiming the
team title at the second annual Mason Rudolph Championship
with a school-record 29-under-par three-round score of 811.
Senior Brandt Snedeker also won his first collegiate tournament
championship at the Mason Rudolph with a 12-under-par score
of 198.
In two tournaments so far this season,Vanderbilt is 17-6
overall, 1-2 against Top-25 teams, 3-4 versus Top-50 teams
and 12-6 against Top-100 teams.
Vanderbilts next action will be Monday and Tuesday
at the Gary Koch Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
