Golf Finishes Thirteenth at CCLA Int
The Vanderbilt mens golf team brought home a thirteenth
place finish at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate
on Tuesday at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana. The Commodores shot a final round 296 to finish
36 strokes behind tournament champion UAB.
Vanderbilt,
who entered the tournament No. 40 in the Golfweek rankings,
finished the two-day tournament with a 892. UAB (856), Auburn
(857), Mississippi (858), and North Florida (859) captured
the top four spots. Fifteen teams competed in the event.
Vanderbilt
junior Brandt Snedeker (Nashville, Tenn.) tied for 19th after
turning in a 68 in the final round. Freshman Mark Donnell
finished tied for 29th overall after shooting a 73 on Tuesday.
Sophomore Ken Lewis posted a final round 80 to finish with
a 12-over-par. Freshman Lance Goodson recorded a 75 today
and finished 66th, while junior Jason Dallas finished 73rd
overall with an 81.
This
tournament finishes up the fall season for the Commodores
mens golf team. Their next tournament will be the Rice
Intercollegiate Feb. 11-12.
