Sixth, Snedeker Third at Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt men's golf team finished
in sixth place with a score of 582 at the rain-shortened
Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship, which is being
played at the Palmetto Golf Club (Par 71, 6,380 yards)
in Aiken, S.C. The tournament was limited to just 36
holes after Monday's second round was washed out by
rain.
As a team, the Commodores shot a 14-over-par 582 in
two rounds to finish sixth in the 15-team field. They
shot a 10-over-par 294 in the first round, but then
rebounded by firing a four-over-par 288 in the final
18 holes. Vanderbilt ended the event just eight shots
out of second place and only 13 shots behind first-place
College of Charleston.
Individually, senior Brandt Snedeker kept is Top-3
streak alive by finishing tied for third place with
a two-under-par 140. Snedeker was tied for 18th after
posting a two-over-par 73 in Monday's first round. However,
he bounced back in the final round to card a four-under-par
67 in the second round. He has now finished in the Top-3
in all seven Vanderbilt tournaments this season.
Sophomore Mark Donnell, who was tied for second after
the first round, dropped to a tie for sixth place with
a one-under-par 141. The sixth place finish is Donnell's
second-best performance of the season.
Next up for the Commodores was junior Ken Lewis, who
finished tied for 30th with a five-over par 147. Sophomore
Lance Goodson recorded a 12-over-par 154 to finish tied
for 66th place. Rounding out the Vanderbilt squad was
senior Craig Dunlap, who finished 77th with a 17-over-par
159.
Vanderbilt is back in action Monday and Tuesday when
the Commodores take part in the University of Oregon
Intercollegiate in Eugene, Ore.

Seventh, Donnell Second After Day 1 at Cleveland Golf
Collegiate Championship
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt men's golf team is
tied for seventh place after the rain-shortened first
day at the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship in
Aiken, S.C. After Monday's first round was completed,
rain washed out the second round. The tournament, which
is being played at the Palmetto Golf Club (Par 71, 6,380
yards), will conclude Tuesday with the final 18 holes,
making it a 36-hole event.
As a team, the Commodores finished the first day tied
for seventh in the 15-team field after shooting a 10-over-par
294. They are just three strokes out of second place
and only six shots from the lead.
Individually, sophomore Mark Donnell carded a two-under-par
69 to finish the first day in second place. The round
of 69 is his second-best round of the season and leaves
him just one shot off the lead heading into the final
round.
Second for Vanderbilt is senior Brandt Snedeker, who
finished the first 18 holes tied for 18th with a two-over-par
73. He is followed closely by junior Ken Lewis, who
posted a three-over-par 74 to finish tied for 25th place.
The final two Commodores were senior Craig Dunlap and
sophomore Lance Goodson, who each finished the first
round tied for 66th place with scores of seven-over-par
78.
