Recorded a very strong freshman season, including claiming medalist honors
at The Adams Cup...Finished second on the team with a 74.14 stroke average
in 35 rounds...Joined Brandt Snedeker as the only two Commodores to compete
in all 12 of Vanderbilt's tournaments...Best score was a four-under-par 207
that earned him the top spot at The Adams Cup...Recorded three Top-10
finishes and two Top-5 finishes.
Amateur
Qualified for the 2002 U.S. Amateur and carded a two-round score of
eight-over par 148 at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills,
Mich...His score of 148 left him five shots from the cut as he missed the
opportunity to participate in the match play portion of the
Championship...Lost in playoff to finished second at the Alabama State
Amateur with rounds of 72, 70, 62 and 73...Advanced to the quarterfinals of
match play at the 2002 North-South Amateur...Ranked as high as third
nationally on Golfweek.com's June 2001 poll of junior players©The only
player in the U.S. named to both the AJGA All-American and Compaq Scholastic
All-American teams in 2000©Earned Polo Junior All-American status in
2000©Won the 2000 AJGA Tampa Bay Classic and placed third in the 2000 Future
Masters© Was runner-up in the AJGA Rome (GA) Classic after placing eighth

As a senior, rebounded from a third-place district finish to win state by
shooting a tournament record 9-under over two days, including 66 in the
final round©Led St. Paul's to a team state title, the school's second in
three years©Runner-up at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Invitational©As
a
junior, finished third in the state while St. Paul's captured second©Won
the
Gulf Coast Invitational and was an All-Tournament selection for the second
straight season at the Auburn Invitational©At the conclusion of his
sophomore year in 1999, he became the first golfer in the history of St.
Paul's to win a state title©Landed the Shades Valley tournament title©An
