Mens Cross Country Finishes Ninth at SEC Championships
NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Vanderbilt Mens Cross Country
team finished
ninth at the 2002 Southeastern Conference Cross Country
Championships held today at the UF Golf Course in Gainesville,
Fla.
Arkansas clinched its 13th straight SEC title with the Razorbacks
top five
runners finishing in the Top 15. Winning the individual honors
was David
Kiman from Alabama, who finished with a time of 24:05 on the
8K course.
Leading the pack of Vanderbilt harriers were senior Ryan
Williams (44th,
27:35) and freshman Tyler Harlen (45th, 27:38). Junior John
Cote (53,
28:03) and sophomore Mike Gaske (54, 28:06) were the next
set of
Vanderbilt runners to cross the line. Rounding out Vanderbilts
top five
runners was sophomore Taylor Hindle (63, 29:23).
Also competing for Vanderbilt were senior David Brogan (64,
29:49) and
junior Ariel Prater (68, 31:02).
