Commodores Men's Cross Country Finish Eighth at the Saluki
Invitational
The Vanderbilt Mens Cross Country team finished eighth
place Saturday
morning at the Saluki Invitational 8K in Carbondale, Ill.
The Commodores
combined for a team total of 205 points. Southern Indiana
took home the team
title totaling 39 points. Host Southern Illinois claimed third
place with 110
points. Claiming first place individual honors was Doron Giat
from Southern
Illinois with a time of 25:26.
Leading the Commodore pack was freshman Tyler Harlan placing
24th with
a time of 27:07. Other scorers for the Commodores included
John Cote (32,
27:26), Mike Gaske (39, 27:42), Matt Doll (54, 28:33) and
Ryan Williams (56,
29:03). Also finishing the race was Taylor Hindle (59, 29:18)
and Mitchell
Chessman (75, 32:26).
The Commodores will be back in action next Saturday as they
head to
Auburn, Ala. for the Auburn Invitational.
