Tennis’ Reynolds, Lacrosse’s Roguuski Named to
SEC Good Works Team 5/21/03
BIRMINGHAM,
Ala. - Vanderbilt juniors Bobby Reynolds (Acworth, Ga.), a
member of the men’s tennis team, and Jessica Roguski
(Baltimore, Md.) were named to the 2003 Southeastern Conference
At-Large Sports Good Works Team.
The SEC At-Large Good Works Team represents 17 SEC sponsored
sports as well as men’s soccer and lacrosse. The team
highlights an athlete from each of the 12 conference schools
who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Reynolds, who is majoring in Human & Organizational
Development, has participated in the Children’s Hospital
Program, Student-Athlete Field Day at Vanderbilt and the Student-Athlete
Christmas Party for underprivileged youth. He has also volunteered
with Read-A-Thon, Kids Zone and Read-Me-Day for area elementary
schools. Reynolds helped lead the Commodores to national runner-up
finish in the 2003 NCAA Tournament.
Roguski,
who is majoring in Human & Organizational Development,
has been a member of the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital OutReach
program throughout her three years. She has also organized
the Spring Student-Athlete Field day for underprivileged youth
in the area. For her extensive work with local charities,
Roguski was selected to receive the Student-Athlete Community
Service Award for 2003.
