Lacrosse Ranked Third in Preseason Poll 2/22/02

The Vanderbilt women's lacrosse team is ranked third in the preseason poll released today by the American Lacrosse Conference. In the seven-member league, the Commodores sit behind Penn State and Johns Hopkins, both of whom are ranked in the top-15 nationally. The Commodores have a chance to shake up the polls this Sunday when they travel to face Johns Hopkins. Vanderbilt will then return home to face Penn State the following weekend. The matches mark the opening of Vanderbilt's season as well as the first two league games in the history of the American Lacrosse Conference.
