Lacrosse Falls to Penn State in Last
Game (May 1)--Penn State handed the Vanderbilt Lacrosse team a 17-7 loss in
its last game of the season. Vanderbilt led 4-3 in the first half until
the Lions scored three straight unanswered goals to take a 6-4 lead at
the break. After intermission, the Lions roared to a 9-4 lead before VU's
Sarah Odell broke a 21-minute scoring drought. Penn State outscored the
Commodores 8-2 over the remaining 23 minutes. Also scoring goals for VU
in the game were Caroline Mans, Michelle Dillow, Becky Kehl and Kristin
Ehst. Vanderbilt ended the season with a 7-9 record.
