Stricker Passes Two Vols on Career SEC Charts
Senior wide receiver Dan Stricker caught a season-high six passes for 96 yards and one touchdown against Kentucky. The 96 yards moved Stricker into sixth place on the Southeastern Conference’s list for career receiving yards. He moved past Tennessee’s Joey Kent (2,814). His six receptions against the Wildcats moved him into ninth place on the league’s career reception list with 180. He passes Tennessee’s Marcus Nash (177). Stricker came within four yards of recording the 12th 100-yard receiving game of his career. Stricker also moved his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 33 games following a 10-yard reception in the second quarter.

Doster Registers his Fourth 100-Yard Rushing Game of the Season
Freshman tailback Kwane Doster ran for 111 yards on 22 carries against the Wildcats. It marked his fourth 100-yard game, matching a Vanderbilt record for freshman rushers previously set by Rodney Williams in 1998. His 39-yard run with 2:54 remaining in the third quarter was a career long and set up a Commodore touchdown that cut the deficit to 28-21. The 22 carries were the second-most this season by Doster. He ran the ball 24 times for 109 yards against Connecticut.

Shaub and Harrison Snag Interceptions
Jonathan Shaub and Herdley Harrison each pulled down interceptions against Kentucky. Shaub intercepted a Jared Lorenzen pass with 4:32 remaining in the first quarter. Harrison picked off a Lorenzen pass with 5:35 left in the game. Shaub’s pick was his third of the year – the most in a season since Jimmy Williams grabbed four in 2000. Harrison’s pick was the first of his career. It marked the second time this season Vanderbilt has recorded multiple interception in a game (two against Connecticut [10/26]).

General Notes
Jay Cutler registered his ninth rushing touchdown of the season with 51 second left in the third quarter. The redshirt freshman led all conference quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns entering the day… Tom Simone’s 38-yard touchdown pass from Cutler at the 4:08 mark of the first quarter was the tight end’s longest of his career… Vanderbilt entered the game allowing only 6.2 points in the first quarter, but gave up a season-high 21 in the opening frame… Greg Johnson’s 62-yard punt in the first quarter marked the 10th time in 11 games the freshman has recorded a punt of 50 or more yards in a game.
