Talented athlete who has opportunity for substantial playing time in crowded receiving corps led by two returning seniors. A prep QB, Young gets more comfortable at WR with each practice. Quick and dangerous in the open field, a break-through season by Young would be a huge asset for the team.

Played in 10 games at WR, starting against Middle Tennessee, Alabama and Alabama... Caught just five passes for 71 yards (14.2 avg.)... Career-long 49-yard reception came against Georgia... Also gained 23 yards on a pair of reverses.

Played in every game and made his first career start against Mississippi...Third on the team in catches with 14... Had four carries for 21 yards, with a long of 10.

Team captain as senior... Two-year starter at QB... Three-year letterman... Named PrepStar and SuperPrep All-American ... Played QB, amassing more than 3,000 yards rushing and 700 yards passing in two years as starter... Team posted 24-4 record in junior and senior years, winning state title as junior and runnerup finish as senior... Led team with 48 rushing touchdowns and seven passing touchdowns... Holds state record for single-game rushing yards (381 yards vs. Tupelo) and tied state record for single-game TDs with six... All-State punter... Two-time state champion in high jump (personal best of 6’11”)... Lettered in basketball... Member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Spanish Club.

Fractured leg as 11-year-old playing football with family and neighborhood friends... Hopes to enter the physical therapy industry... Enjoys Playstation 2 and relaxing with friends.
