Named to Coaches’ All-SEC Freshman Team... Started seven games
at cornerback, after Jones’ injury... Played in every game,
opening season with special teams... Matched career-high seven
tackles in three consecutive games - Georgia, South Carolina
and Duke... Notched first career interception vs. Duke...
Also contributed a forced fumble vs. Florida and a fumble
recovery vs. Middle Tennessee.
2000
Granted medical redshirt status after being sidelined by early-season
Achilles’ tendon injury... Moved to cornberback after starting
Commodore career as receiver.

Led team to Michigan state champion as senior... Named Detroit
Free-Press Dream Team... Also selected All-District and All-Area...
Was standout in track and field, setting school marks in the
high jump (6’4”) and long jump (22’1”)... Also ran leg on
400-meter and 800-meter relay squads... Recipient of Scholar-Athlete
Award three years... Member of National Honor Society and
Who’s Who Among American Students.
