Prospects
Meadows goes into the season in a backup role at middle linebacker,
though he impressed coaches in spring practice with his hitting
style and effort. Also valuable to Commodores as reserve long
snapper on special teams.

Captain for numerous games as senior.. Three-year LB starter
for Alabama 6A state champions... Named honorable mention
All-State and Birmingham News’ Over- the-Mountain Team and
second team All-Metro... Team went 14-1 in senior season...
Recorded 117 tackles and five sacks as senior... Injured left
ACL as sophomore, ending season and hindering abilities as
junior... Birmingham News’ Scholar-Athlete of Week during
senior season.
Academics
Meadows is working toward a degree in Human and Organizational
Development.

Son of Charles and Judy Meadows... Born August 30, 1982...
Parents are retired: dad was supervisor at U.S. Steel; mom
is middle school health teacher... Switching uniform #59 to
#49... Two older brothers, David and Brenon, both played collegiate
football... David served as Commodores’ long snapper for last
four years; Brenon played OG at Louisville and Alabama, graduating
in 1999... Played prep football with VU teammates TE Dustin
Dunning and WR Jason Caldwell... Threw the shot put and discus
in high school... Enjoys hunting and fishing.
