Standout left-footed punter and placekicker who started three years for two-time Georgia state champions... As senior, averaged 42.2 yards on 32 punts, with a long effort of 58 yards... Tremendous hang time and excellent precision for prep punter... Never had punt returned for touchdown... Last career effort was a booming 57-yarder that was fumbled by Northside Warner-Robins returner, sealing state championship for Panthers.. As placekicker, Johnson made 15 of 24 career field goal attempts, including a 51-yarder in 2001... He was eight of 14 last year... Named All-Gwinnett County... Selected ESPN-School Sports Preseason All-American... Won top honors at prestigious Notre Dame Kicking Camp last summer... His coach previously worked with kicker Kevin Butler (Chicago Bears) and current Redskinsí kicker Brett Conway.
