Prospects
Will get look at tight end, but also a valuable commodity
to Commodores for snapping abilities. His experience will
benefit the VU kicking game where inexperience is the norm.
2001
Played in every game... Served as the team’s #1 short snapper,
and backed up as long snapper...Though Commodores succeeded
on just four field goal tries, snapping wasn’t the issue.
2000
Not on roster, joined team in spring practice.
High School
Two-year starter at tight end... Named second team All-District
as senior... Had six catches for 140 yards and two TDs as
senior... During senior season, team went to state semifinals...
Also started as senior catcher for high school baseball team...
Achieved 4.03 GPA and seventh in class... Earned U.S. Army
Reserve Award for top student-athlete as a senior... National
Honor Society member.
Academics
Jason is majoring in economics, with a minor in geology.,
and plans to graduate this May.
Personal
Son of Mike and Jackie Daniels... Born June 12, 1981... Dad
is sales and marketing executive... Learned to snap playing
football as a fourth grader... Assists in a number of community
projects, including the MS Walk and volunteering at Vanderbilt
Veterans Hospital... Enjoys golf and music.
