Valuable blocker who saw action in short yardage situations
should compete for additional playing time at tight end. Also
should contribute on special teams. Needs to enter preseason
drills off excellent off-season conditioning program.

Played in every game as the second-team tight end as redshirt
freshman... Was active in all two-TE alignments... First career
catch was seven-yarder versus Richmond... Had four-yard reception
against Kentucky... Also credited with three tackles and one
fumble recovery on coverage units.
2000
Redshirted.
High School
Two-way starter for three years... All-State TE and LB junior
and senior years... Three-time all-district pick... Team was
31-7 in his three varsity years, making the 4A semifinals
in senior year... Team MVP in football... All-district centerfielder
and pitcher in baseball... Hit .410 in his career with 12
home runs... Threw shot put in track, qualifying for regionals
as senior... Member of National Honor Society, First Robotics
Team and Native American Club.

is registered nurse... Raised on family’s east Texas cattle
ranch... Was active in rodeo, including team roping and team
penning, while living in Texas... Enjoys hunting and fishing,
and restored the 1953 Jeep he drives on campus... Father played
OL at Heidelberg (Ohio) College.
