slips to 8-4.
In his first collegiate start, Owen (1-0) allowed only

later when Ryan Klosterman blooped a double to right
center field. Cesar Nicolas brought in Jones with a
RBI ground out to short. Klosterman came in soon after
on a passed ball by Trevecca catcher Nick Hiter.
In the second inning, Matt McGraner blooped a hit into
right field and hustled to second for a double. Rucker
Taylor followed with a single to right field that went
under the glove of Trevecca's Eric Reid and scored McGraner
to give the Commodores a 3-0 advantage.
Vanderbilt added its final run in the eighth when Worth
Scott walked, took second and third base on a sacrifice
bunt by Matt Zeller, and scored on a RBI fielder's choice
off the bat of Gil Kim.
Seven different Commodores registered hits in the game
led by Ryan Godfrey's 2-for-4 effort at the plate.
Trevecca managed to move only three runs into scoring
position on the day. Hiter notched two of the Trojans
three hits.
