As a Freshman (2002): Vanderbilt's lone freshman to start all of the
Commodores' 51 games (shortstop)... Ranked among the team leaders in several
categories, including runs (first-47), walks (tied for first-24), doubles (second-15),
plate appearances (second-236), hits (third-58) and at bats (third-207)...Hit
safely in 40 of 51 games, never going more than two consecutive games without
a hit... Ended the year on a 10-game hit streak, batting .429 (15-for-35) with
nine runs scored, four RBI, four doubles and six walks... His 10-game hit streak
tied for the third-longest on the team... Tied for fourth on the team with 14
multi-hit games...Posted a career-high four hits and three runs scored against
Kentucky (5/12)... Hit.371 (13-for-35) with seven RBI, nine runs scored two

Player of the Year by the Fresno Bee as well as All-State, All-Valley and All-Tri-River
Athletic Conference as a senior... Selected Clovis Independent Player of the
Year his senior season... Won team's Most Valuable Player award... Batted .308
as a junior with 24 hits, five doubles, one home run and seven RBI... Participated
in the All-Star Area Code summer league prior to his senior season... Earned
