Senior Class Day is a new Vanderbilt tradition, begun in 2004 and featuring a keynote speaker, lectures by Vanderbilt faculty, receptions, award ceremonies and other activities. The inaugural Senior Class Day Speaker was then-National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, whose remarks drew a crowd of 10,000. Shirin Ebadi, the first Muslim woman and the first Iranian to win the Nobel Peace Prize, delivered the 2005 Senior Class Day address. |
