Vanderbilt Baseball Summer Camp
The Vanderbilt Baseball Summer Camp is dedicated to teaching the game of baseball in all aspects. A quality-learning environment for Grades 1 through 12 is the focus of our program. Our camp features college and high school coaches who are fundamentally sound in the teaching of the game. Camp features: Excellent facilities (Vanderbilt is rated one of the top 20 institutions in America); play on the new Charles Hawkins Field; Indoor batting cages and pitching mounds; quality instruction; video taping and quality analysis.

High School Prospect Camp
Dates: July 12-16
Grades: 9-12
Cost: $360 per camper (Commuter) or $460 per camper (Overnighter)
Description: The Vanderbilt High School Prospect Camp offers a unique baseball learning opportunity for the high school player who has aspirations of playing baseball at the highest level (College or Pro). The five-day format is very intense and instructional and will have a large emphasis on individual position play, hitting fundamentals, and game experience. Players will also have instruction in strength training and baseball agility exercises.

Kevin Stallings’ Vanderbilt Basketball Camp
The Vanderbilt men's basketball program will once again be offering a variety of summer camps for rising Kindergarten through 10th Grade boys. The camps will be held in the historic Memorial Gym and Vanderbilt’s new state-of-the-art practice facility. The camps emphasis is on teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship and team play in a wholesome environment. It is our hopes that your son will have an enjoyable and meaningful experience and that the benefits he receives will not only help him in becoming a better player, but will also reach beyond the basketball court.

Description: Day Camp will feature individual skill instruction, contests, and games. All fundamental aspects will be covered, including shooting, passing, ball handling, screening, and cutting. Campers will be coached by members of the Vanderbilt coaching staff and available players. Campers will play two games each afternoon, with a camp tournament on Thursday. Lunch will be provided each day. Check-in will be Monday from 8:15 - 9:00 AM at Memorial Gym. Camp will begin each day at 9:00 AM with doors opening at 8:15 AM. Camp will conclude each day at 3:00 PM. Extended hours, featuring a supervised open-gym, will be available Monday - Wednesday until 4:30 PM. No extended hours on Thursday.Games Camp

Description: The Junior Day Camp is the perfect experience for the beginning basketball player. It is designed to teach young players the basic fundamentals of basketball in a FUN environment. Check-in will be Monday from 8:15 - 9:00 AM at Memorial Gym. Camp will begin each day at 9:00 AM with doors opening at 8:15 AM. Camp concludes each day at 12:00 PM. Extended supervision is not available.

Elite Camp

CampVandy
Sponsored by the Office of Campus Recreation
CampVandy is a day camp accommodating up to 140 children from 5 to 12 years of age. We are proud to say this will be our eighteenth year, and we will continue to provide an exciting and outstanding day camp program. Weekly highlights will include club activities, theme events, and daily swimming.
CampVandy is a program that will run for 10 weeks during the summer months. The dates are May 25th – July 31st. Space is limited, so register early! CampVandy is $135 for Vanderbilt employees and $150 for the community and surrounding areas. The cost includes special activities, arts and crafts, kids climb, one camp T-shirt, two snacks and drinks each day.
Registration begins April 1st, and we fill up quickly so don't wait! CampVandy requires a $50.00 deposit (non-refundable and non-transferable) for each week enrolled, and is due at the time of registration. Please note that the $50.00 deposit is a portion of the weekly fee and not an addition fee. The remaining balance, (including fees for care services), is due the first day of camp each week, between 7am and 9:15am.

Nike Lacrosse Camp
Vanderbilt University will play host to another NIKE Lacrosse Camp in 2009. Nestled in the central basin of Tennessee and rimmed by wooded hills, the beautiful campus of Vanderbilt is a great place for young athletes to develop their basic lacrosse skills and strategy instruction. Cathy Swezey, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Vanderbilt University, will be the camp director.

The Elite Residential Camp is designed to improve the skill level and tactical understanding of all players. Practice sessions will be intense and very competitive to challenge every level of the player's ability. As a player, you will be taught both individual skill work, as well as team tactics. The reusch USA Goalkeeper Education Academy is under the direction of Eric Vaughter, GK coach at Vanderbilt, and nationally renowned GK trainer. Enrollment in the GEA is limited to 30 participants. The GK Education Academy will focus on all aspects of GK development and training, with special emphasis put on teaching GKs of all levels to train themselves day-in, day-out.
Sponsored by reusch USA, the GEA will offer students the chance to train daily using the latest GK techniques and methods. Each reusch USA Goalkeeper Education Academy camper will receive a reusch GK Training jersey and a pair of reusch GK Training gloves.
The reusch USA Goalkeeper Education Academy will be held in conjunction with the Elite Camp and will be under the direction of Vanderbilt GK coach, Eric Vaughter. "EV", a nationally renowned GK trainer, has worked with GKs of all levels--rec league through professionals and National Team. Enrollment in the reusch USA GEA is limited to 30 participants, and each camper will receive a pair of reusch Training gloves and reusch GK Training jersey.
Eric Vaughter completed his 10th season as GK coach for the Commodores in 2008. Under his direction, `keeper Tyler Griffin became Vanderbilt's career shutout leader and a two-time All-American. "EV" is considered one of the top GK trainers in the United States, and has trained GKs from rec-league to the pros! He began his collegiate coaching career at Appalachian State University in 1978. Since then, EV has worked with `keepers at Sangamon State U. (IL), Duke U., High Point U., North Carolina State, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Charlotte, and Lipscomb U. In 1986, Vaughter helped Duke U win its first National Championship in Soccer.

Vanderbilt Tennis Camp
The Vanderbilt Tennis Camp is committed to quality teaching in a patient, positive atmosphere. We are dedicated to teaching each camper the techniques, tactics and training necessary to improve in tennis and enjoy this lifelong sport. Each camper will receive the best coaching and attention, and we will adapt all drills and match play to the level of each player. This camp is designed to provide a rich learning environment for boys and girls ages 7 to 17 (beginner to advanced). Camps will be held on 10 outside courts and 5 inside courts. We love teaching the game of tennis, and we know that everyone who attends will improve their skills while learning the fun and fundamentals of this great game.
