Return to DOS homepage Phi Eta SigmaPhi Eta Sigma honorary is open to all freshmen who meet the academic qualifications. Students must be registered for a full course of study leading to a bachelor's degree and must rank in the top 20 percent of their freshman class. The minimum scholastic average required for membership is a 3.434 or above GPA. Eligibility may be based on grades of the first full curricular period (semester) or on the cumulative average of the first year in college. A one-time membership fee of $30 is required. The fee covers keys or pins and certificates, with a portion of the money going to the honor society's scholarship fund. After the application process, students will be notified of future date and time of initiation. Once initiated the student becomes a lifetime member of Phi Eta Sigma. Members may remain active in the chapter throughout college. Please print off the application and submit it in person.
