Return to DOS homepage Alpha Lambda DeltaAlpha Lambda Delta membership is open to all freshmen who meet the academic qualifications. Students must be registered for a full course of study leading to a bachelor's degree and must rank in the top 20 percent of their freshman class. The minimum scholastic average required for membership is a 3.434 or above GPA. Eligibility may be based on grades of the first full curricular period (semester) or on the cumulative average of the first year in college. A one-time membership fee of $30 is required. The fee covers keys or pins and certificates, with a portion of the money going to the honor society's scholarship fund. After the application process, students will be notified of future date and time of initiation. Once initiated the student becomes a lifetime member of Alpha Lambda Delta. Members may remain active in the chapter throughout college. Members hold offices while they are sophomores. Members will be asked to volunteer some hours of service to an Alpha Lambda Delta campus or community project. If you are interested in being a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, you may download and print the application. Fill it out legibly and turn it the Office of Leadership Development and Intercultural Affairs in the Community Partnership House, rm. 112 by the deadline. Please print off the application and submit it in person. ALD Freshmen Honor Society applications are due by Wednesday February 25, 2009.
