Students who want a minor in classics may tailor their program to their needs; but they are required to study Greek or Latin through the intermediate level and to complete an additional 15 hours. Requirements for the minor are as follows:
1. Either Latin 104 or Greek 204 or equivalent*
2. Five courses from among the following, of which at least three must be at the 200-level:
a. Language and literature: Latin 201, 202, 205, 206, 215, 220, 260, 268; Greek 212
b. Civilization: Classics 130, 146
c. History: Classics 208, 209, 212, 213, 224
d. Art and Archaeology: Classics 203, 204, 205, 206, 217
e. Mythology, Law , and Philosophy: Classics 150, 160, 210
*Equivalence is demonstrated by taking a higher-level language course.
