Meet Lori Catanzaro
who joins the Center this year as Assistant Director

Lori (Sciadini) Catanzaro teaches in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese in which Spanish for Medicine is her area of specialization.  Her service learning based course reaches out to the Latino community in Nashville, and her students serve as volunteer interpreters in various clinics and hospitals in the city.  This year she will teach Spanish to medical students at VUMS.  Lori has taught a broad range of language courses including Spanish Through Film and Spanish for Business.  Lori previously served as director of the Vanderbilt in Spain Program in Madrid, Study Abroad Programs, the Owen Graduate School of Management’s International Programs and Owen’s International Executive MBA Program in Miami.  She holds a B.A. from Mary Washington College and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida.  She has lived in Argentina, France, the Dominican Republic and Spain.
