Congratulations to Noah Orfield (Rosenthal Group) and Darwin Fu (Meiler Group) for selection to participate in the first Federal STEM Policy and Advocacy Program organize by the Vanderbilt University Office of Federal Relations, Oct 16-17, 2014 in Washington D.C.
This event is being hosted by the Vanderbilt Office of Federal Relations (OFR). In partnership with 4 campus offices (Graduate School Career Development, BRET Office of Career Development, the Center for Student Professional Development and the VU School of Engineering), OFR has planned an extraordinary program for a total of 25 Vanderbilt students to interact with speakers in DC who will discuss numerous aspects of STEM public policy and advocacy. The attendees will also participate in a case exercise that will require them to work on a team, bringing their creative, problem-solving skills to bear on a budget-based scenario. Attendees will be selected from STEM and Social Science disciplines, from upper-level undergraduates through postdocs, offering a unique opportunity for interaction across disciplines and backgrounds.
