Registration

Registration will be available in Summer 2008.

If you will begin your teaching assistant (TA) duties in the 2008-09 school year, then you should also plan on attending TA Orientation on August 19 and 20, 2008.  Please go to http://www.vanderbilt.edu/cft/programs/graduate_student/tao.htm for more information.

Overview

International Teaching Assistant Orientation (ITAO) introduces international graduate students to the culture of the American classroom and the International Teaching Assistant Program (ITAP), which helps them develop English language and teaching skills for the US classroom.

Most ITAO attendees will participate in language evaluations, which will determine the remainder of their involvement in ITAP.  This involvement may include placement in English language courses offered by the English Language Center (ELC) or a teaching practicum offered by the Center for Teaching (CFT).
