What We Do
Check out Fellow, Jim Jin’s project Everything Is Illuminated and the McGill/CCRF Showcase in March!
Fellows build community through activities such as attending performances at TPAC or visiting Cheekwood. Fellows also join Vanderbilt’s Curb Scholars in attending monthly Creative Leadership Salons – lectures, discussions, and workshops – led by artists, entrepreneurs, and community members. Finally, Fellows explore ways to serve the community at Vanderbilt and beyond by planning and executing creatively themed service projects.
Fellows have a number of opportunities to explore and engage the creative community both at Vanderbilt and in Nashville. These opportunities include:
-
Creative Leadership Salons and Creative Practice Workshops with Vanderbilt’s Curb Scholars and leaders of the Creative Campus Initiative
-
Opportunities for independent projects
-
Regular trips to experience performances and exhibits both on and off campus
-
Opportunities for independent or collaborative creative projects
-
Group service projects that explore the intersection of creativity and service to the community
-
Events designed to develop an intentional community both among CCRF participants and with our neighbors in Vanderbilt-Barnard
