Degree Audit

The degree audit system compares the student’s undergraduate academic record with a combination of “plans”.  These “plans” encompass the requirements for a degree (BA or BS), a major, a minor, and the core liberal arts program.

The degree audit system is available to all currently enrolled undergraduate College of Arts and Science students online: https://webapp.mis.vanderbilt.edu/student-search

Students who began their academic career in the College of Arts and Science prior to Fall 2005 will audit their degree and major requirements using this system and will receive a “Notification of Progress Toward Graduation” to review their progress in the CPLE requirements. All other students can review degree, major, and AXLE requirements using this online system.

The Special Audit feature of the degree audit system can assist students thinking about changing their major or adding a minor to produce a "what if" audit. This audit will compare the student’s academic record with a new major or minor and determine what requirements are satisfied, not satisfied, or pending in the “what if” major or minor. This feature does not officially declare the major or minor.

Another feature of this system is a link to Access 2 Academic Information (AAI) which allows the student to toggle between their academic record and their degree audit with single sign-on.

The degree audit system is offered as an aid to the advising and course selection process, and is not an official transcript or a completion of graduation requirements statement. Every effort has been made to ensure that the program is without error. Students are to discuss any potential errors with their adviser.
