Special Degree Programs

Accelerated and Joint Programs

Vanderbilt's graduate and professional schools—School of Law, Owen Graduate School of Management, School of Divinity, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and the Graduate School —all expand opportunities for enterprising undergraduate students. Optional programs offer qualified undergraduates an opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree on an accelerated schedule and begin work toward an advanced degree. Freshmen who are accepted into the nursing “bridge” program, for example, can begin their studies in the College of Arts and Science and transfer in their junior year to a master’s program at Vanderbilt’s School of Nursing.
