The Center recently launched a video conversation series for parents and students. This series of videos features Center staff sharing information on topics such as how parents can help students who may be struggling with finding their fit and if it's too late to find an internship for the summer. DoreWays

You asked. We listened!
Thanks to recent enhancements to DoreWays, beginning Monday, August 20, all current Vanderbilt undergraduate students can now access the system using their VUnetID and ePassword!

DoreWays is the Center’s on-line resource where you can learn about and connect to professional opportunities on and off campus that will help you build competencies to be successful in the workplace. You can search for internship and job opportunities in different industries; experience the hiring process by applying and interviewing on campus with employers; sign-up for professional development workshops led by alumni or employers that provide insight into the workplace and skills needed to be competitive, search for learning labs offered on campus led by Center peer coaches, and much more!

Returning DoreWays Users: All previous activity and documents have been retained.

New Users: Login immediately, no need to create an account.

**Special Note To Returning DoreWays Users**

Effective August 20, 2012, you will NOT be able to access DoreWays using your previous username and password.

Please bookmark the new URL: https://vanderbilt-csm.symplicity.com/sso/students and delete any DoreWays links saved in your browser’s Favorites or Bookmarks.

If you have any problems using your VUnetID and ePassword to sign in to DoreWays, please call our office at 615-322-2750 or send an email with “DoreWays Help” in the subject line.

The Insiders Guide to On-Campus Recruiting

The Center for Student Professional Development wants to help you prepare for On-Campus Interviews and other recruiting activities. The Insiders Guide to On-Campus Recruiting was created to answer your questions and includes step-by-step instructions on how to prepare and apply for an on-campus interview.

You can also attend one of our walk-in sessions for a cover letter and resume critique or ask about next steps. Dates, times and locations listed below.

Once you've gotten your resume in order, you'll need to upload your file in DoreWays, our Web-based tool for searching and applying to internships and full-time opportunities. After you resume has been saved in DoreWays, you'll be able to apply to those opportunities that interest you. Check DoreWays frequently for new job and internship postings.

Walk-In Hours

Visit with one of our coaches during this 20-minute session to discuss your next steps, have your resume critiqued, learn about Center resources, simply ask general questions. No appointment or registration required.

Two locations:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday 
Student Life Center, 2nd Floor
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday 
The Commons Center, #217
Noon - 3:00 p.m

Information Sessions

Each semester a number of employers hold Information Sessions on campus. Frequently, these sessions occur the evening or day before they conduct on-campus interviews. By attending these events you can learn general information about the company and meet with company representatives.

Check DoreWays for the most current information and to register for sessions that interest you. You should also subscribe to our industry listservs to receive news and updates about industry-specific events.

On-Campus Interviews

As part of our campus recruiting program, employers, across a range of industries and from companies large and small, come to Vanderbilt each semester to hold on-campus interviews with selected candidates.  You must apply for these positions within DoreWays and candidates will be notified by the employers if they are selected for an interview.

As the information and open positions changes often, you should check DoreWays throughout  the semester to view current open positions and interview dates.
