In support of the University’s mission of teaching and service, the Vanderbilt Career Center provides students with lifelong career development skills to achieve personal and professional success.
The VCC fulfills this mission through interrelated goals:
- Provide and promote educational opportunities to students and alumni that actively develop a self-reliant approach to the career exploration and planning process, fostering their professional development in a safe and respectful environment.
- Expand and develop collaborative relationships within the Vanderbilt community to integrate the opportunities provided by the Career Center into the student’s educational experience.
- Provide valuable human, physical, and technological resources to enhance the student’s educational experience and complement the career planning process.
- Actively partner with employers, graduate schools, and the Vanderbilt community in the educational and employment pursuits of Vanderbilt students and alumni.
