Vandy Meets the Street - Application Deadline: Sunday, August 30

The 4th annual Vandy Meets the Street is scheduled for October 15 and 16 during fall break. This finance internship recruiting event is designed for Vanderbilt juniors to connect with alumni working in top financial services firms in New York City. Firms expected to participate include: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Houlihan Lokey, Jefferies, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan. Federal STEM Policy & Advocacy: An Inside the Beltway Look – Applications Now Open

This two-day event held in Washington D.C. October 15-16 will provide students and postdoctoral fellows in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), including Social Sciences, an opportunity to learn how federal STEM policy is made and the role of advocacy by various stakeholders in achieving policy goals. Participants will hear from officials, including VU alumni, who work in the Executive and Legislative branches of government as well as scientific societies, associations and coalitions who are actively engaged in influencing and promoting federal investments in science and engineering. For STEM students and postdocs thinking about careers in public policy, this behind the scenes look will provide insights to potential career opportunities.
