Vanderbilt Powerlifting
Purpose
The Vanderbilt Powerlifting Club was created to provide like-minded strength athletes the opportunity to lift together, learn from each other, and compete together--all within a structured atmosphere of intensity and camaraderie. Welcoming interested lifters of all experience levels, the club gives everyone the opportunity to grow and compete. Several times per year, club members will compete, individually and as a team, in competitions sanctioned by the IPF, WPC, APF, AWPC, APA, and other notable Powerlifting organizations.
Practice/Competition
Usually, the team meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday or Sunday depending on everyone's schedule.
There is not a "set time" for weight training. An e-mail, facebook message, or cell phone message is sent out to let everyone know when to meet at the Rec Center.
