Kathryn Borcherding
Kathryn Borcherding, 57, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Vanderbilt
Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she also worked in the family
business. Mrs. Borcherding was a Life Master in the American Contract
Bridge League (ACBL) and a member of the Vanderbilt Bridge Club. She also
enjoyed volunteering at her grandchildren's school, Byers Dowdy Elementary.

March 23, after a 5 week struggle in Vanderbilt Hospital. ROCCO is survived
by his wife of 50 + years, Sarah Lee Mears Denami, and their three children.
"ROCCO" attended Father Ryan HS and was employed by Olivetti
Underwood; a member of the Antioch Church of Christ and achieved Lifemaster
from American Contract Bridge League and member of th Vanderbilt Bridge

Dorothy Ann Smith

Nashville, TN
passed away at her residence on Monday, March 22, 2004. She was born in
Nashville, July 9, 1930. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert
Louis Smith of Nashville; mother, Hazel Carroll of Nashville and brother,
Everett Lee Carroll of Franklin; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces
and nephews. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Ward-Belmont
College. She played basketball for Hillsboro High School and for Nashville
Business College. Mrs. Smith retired from Bell Telephone Company after
forty years of service. She was an avid bridge player and was a Life Master
in ACBL. During her illness, she was lovingly cared for by here husband,
his niece, Donna Harvey, his sister, Dot Barham and Willowbrook Hospice.

Ina Goldman

Age 99
(August 4, 1904-March 12, 2004) Preceded in death by husbands, Samuel
A. Taylor and Walter W. Goldman. She leaves to cherish her memories; daughter,
Patricia Taylor of Nashville; sister, Eunice Williams of Valdosta, GA
and brother, Arthur Wade of W. Palm Beach, FL. She has many nieces and
nephews. Ina had a B.A. degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling
Green, KY. She was a school teacher for many years in several educational
systems. She was a valued member of the Vanderbilt Bridge Education Association.
She directed and/or played bridge 5-6 times a week. She had many dear
and cherished bridge friends.

Flo Allison

Flo Allison, a long standing member, teacher, player and friend of the
Vanderbilt Bridge Club died Wednesday, May 14th. A celebration of her
life was held at the club on Tuesday, May 20th. We had an excellent turnout
and enjoyed recounting many memories and sentiments of this very special
lady. Our sympathies are extended to her family and friends as they mourn
her loss.
