The fee to be a member of VBEA is $40 / year. This fee is used for building maintenance, and other expenses associated with keeping the club up and running.
No. We encourage our players to join and support the club but it is not mandatory. If you play often, it is less expensive if you are a member.
Table fees are $7.00 for members and out of town guests and $9.00 for resident non-members.
If you need a partner, please contact the director for the game you are planning to play in. Many directors will guarantee a partner, if they are given some advanced notification.
Results from club games are transmitted to ACBL once per month. This usually occurs around the 4th or 5th of the following month.
No. You do not have to be a member of ACBL to play bridge at the Vanderbilt Bridge Center. If you win masterpoints and subsequently join the ACBL, any masterpoints you won during the past year are automatically applied to your membership number.
Results can be posted immediately after the game. The directors have a procedure which involves saving the results report to a file and then transmitting the report, via the telephone to the Web server. If the results are not updated regularly, please contact the director and/or Rees Mitchell.
