William M. Wilson William Moss Wilson graduated from Vanderbilt in 1970, after which he served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He is currently chairman of Cherokee Properties, Inc., and Cherokee Equity Corporation. Previously, he held the position of chairman of the board and president of Shoney’s, Inc. He has been involved at Vanderbilt as president of the Vanderbilt Club, and with memberships in the Canby Robinson Society, the Blair Patron’s Society, Schola Prophetarum, and the College Cabinet. His other civic activities include serving as president of the Nashville Metro YMCA, president and director of the Nashville Institute for the Arts, and vice chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Performing Arts Foundation, among others. Mr. Wilson is the father of four children, and he and his wife, Caroline “Sissy” Cooke Wilson, live in Nashville. |
