Edith Carell Johnson Edith Carell Johnson, elected as a trustee in 2007, received her BA from Centenary College in 1984 and her JD from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1988. While at Centenary, Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Centenary College Women’s tennis team, which placed in the top five nationally for three consecutive years. She was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, an Honor Court member and received the Centenary College Scholar/Athlete award in her senior year. After graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law, she worked as corporate counsel for Central Parking System, Inc., for eight years. Mrs. Johnson is a civic leader, community volunteer and philanthropist who currently serves on the boards of The Harpeth Hall School and The Nashville Zoo. She was co-chair of Harpeth Hall’s recently completed Capital Campaign for Harpeth Hall, a five-year endeavor that raised in excess of $44 million. She is a life member of The Canby Robinson Society and a member of the National Commodore club. She is very involved in the activities and life of The Ensworth School, The Nashville Zoo and Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art. A native of Nashville, Mrs. Johnson is married to David B. Johnson. They have two children and reside in Nashville. |
